◇ 주제 : Anisotropy of Materials for Sensors and Actuators in Soft Robotic Applications
◇ 초록 : Soft robotics, designed to mimic the dexterity of biological organisms, require highly compliant sensors and adaptable actuators to achieve precise and versatile functionality. By replicating sensorimotor dynamics found in nature, we have developed sensitive physical sensors and soft actuators that respond to various stimuli based on the materials’ anisotropy. Through inspiration from biological structures, we fabricated hierarchical ZnO nanowire arrays and advanced electronic skins capable of detecting both static and dynamic stimuli, resembling the mechanoreceptor functions of human skin. The microridge structures that mediate stress transmission between layers provided key insights for spacer-free triboelectric sensors optimized for motion tracking and wearability. Additionally, we developed a highly flexible and printable magnetic paste to facilitate magnetic field-based proximity sensing, extending sensory reach beyond human limits. Finally, we introduced soft, hinge-free, and responsive magnetic origami actuators, achieving shape adaptability and self-guided actuation through light and magnetic field control. These advanced sensors and actuators, composed of anisotropic materials that are re-oriented from mechanical stress, electric and electromagnetic fields, and other energy inputs, allow for precise and autonomous robotic operations.
